As the only male Rose under Youko, Yuuji is the girls’ mediator. The one who keeps their feet on the ground. The one who keeps them together. Yuuji is rarely provoked, and he can think straight and make quick, firm decisions amidst a battle. He knows the variety of the Roses’ personalities, and he knows how to make his point cross to each one. Although Yuuji is obedient to Youko, he has a mind of his own — a plan of his own — and he will fight for what he believes in. Strong, patient, and a man of authority, Yuuji is the Rose of Flames.
Fuu

Fuu is the Roses’ sophisticated older ’sister’. She is opinionated but quiet, sharing her thoughts only when necessary. Like Yuuji, she looks out for the other Roses. Fuu tends to make herself everybody’s shield. Being the eldest among the girls, she thinks the quickest, and acts the fastest. As the Gale Rose, she possesses the power to produce a wind wave strong enough to send building crashing down on the ground.
Kaori

Kaori is the Roses’ culinary expert, and is arguably the most ‘normal’ of the girls. She has a good balance of emotion and control. She can be serious and at the same time, friendly (if being friendly meant teasing Haruna relentlessly). She asserts herself, but still knows her place as a Rose. As the Rose of Lightning, she’s usually the first to strike, because surprise is always on her side. Out of all the Roses, she could hide her ki best, even in panic. Kaori is usually the one who stays in the sidelines, watching the battle, seeing the whole picture, then goes to support any Rose who needed her.
Maya

Maya is the youngest among the Roses, and she looks and acts even younger for her age. Hers is the fastest mouth the Elementals have ever seen; she can talk nonstop for one full minute seemingly without pausing to take a breath. But when it’s time to work, all traces of her brilliant smile is wiped away, leaving a ice-cold face that can rival Fuu’s stoicism. Having grown up in an environment that overlooked her, Maya tends to underestimate herself. But given the right motivation, the Winter Rose can unleash a power that even she didn’t know she had.
Haruna

A girl of a few words (almost none, actually), Haruna is Kaori’s daily target for teasing. She gets irritated easily, and she prefers to quietly sit by herself, separated from the group, whenever possible. The Autumn Rose is a solo fighter. Although she’s a good teammate, she works best alone. Having been an orphan, Haruna is independent, and she tends to try to do everything on her own. This comes in handy, though, when the Roses are badly hit. She’s able to buy them enough time to recover, or maybe think of a new strategy. Haruna is a silent worker who knows what do, when to do it… and actually does it.

Youko is the man behind Deathrose. He is their strategist, their commander, and their trainer. Not much is known about Youko, only that he was the one who raised Mai.
Kurobara Mai

Known to be the sole survivor of the overthrown Kurobara Clan, Mai is the mysterious Deathrose Princess. She has never been allowed to go outside their palace in order to protect her from those who had wiped out her whole family. Trained by Youko ever since she was four years old, Mai has mastered her Elements and is fully capable of forcing her way out of the palace; but she decides to stay. Meek, obedient and the same time energetic and cheerful, she considers the Roses to be her family, and would do anything for them, even give up her life.
